Description: Join us for the opening event of Teresa Wilson's 'Changeling' exhibition.

Traditionally defined as a faerie child substituted for a human child, the changeling appears in folklore and romantic poetry as a sinister and darkly humorous explorations of feelings of melancholy, isolation and fear.

This installation of macabre puppets, made from old rags and re-used materials and props, refers to mummification and the opposing processes of the natural decay of the body, hinting at another level of meaning for the word 'changeling' suggestive of the ultimate change of the human body after death.
